Louise McLeod Photography has recently opened a new studio in Truro specialising in baby and child portraiture. This lovely space is cosy and comfortable with beautiful natural light and views over the cathedral. Louise McLeod has been a professional photographer for over ten years after making the decision to turn her long held passion into a career. After undertaking a photography degree, she discovered a love of portraiture which has continued to develop over the years.
Louise has trained extensively in newborn photography and her style has developed into one that is natural and organic. There is minimal posing and no props, allowing the baby to be the focus of the image. She loves capturing the tiny details and also the wonderful connection between parents and their new baby in these early days. Newborn photoshoots are usually held in the first three weeks following birth but can take place anytime up to six weeks old. Louise also offers pregnancy photoshoots and images of your beautiful bump will always help you to remember a very special time.
“Babies and children grow and change so quickly and every moment is precious. It is a joy to capture every stage of childhood from sleepy curled up newborns to smiling sitters to curious toddlers and milestone birthdays.”
In this increasingly digital age Louise is passionate about the printed image. At her studio she offers stunning gallery art blocks, framed images and bespoke keepsake boxes for prints.
“We all have thousands of digital images on our phones and computers and most we never look at again. My aim is to create beautiful portraits that will always make you smile. For me having that physical print to hold in your hand or hang on the wall of your home is so important.”
Photoshoots take place at the studio and within two weeks you are invited back to view your final gallery of images. Louise loves the timeless quality of black and white portraiture and there is always a mix of black and white and colour images to choose from. Once you have chosen your favourites there is a range of print, product and digital packages available.
